My buddy bought a 98 tran-am over the weekend. He bought it as a ws6.It has the wheels and hood but no other markings and it does not appear to have any more power than the normal t/a.Is there a vin letter or number that designates the ws6 package and if so what is it?

He probably got ripped. It wouldnt feel any faster than a normal t/a if it was a ws6 but only a hood and wheels = clone.

Thats what i thought.I was unable to go with him to see the car pre purchase but it was advertised as a ws6 and sold as one so i think if push came to shove he could get a refund. He is not unhappy with the car anyway. It has 91xxx on it and it looks good.He gave 8000.00 for it and it had full borla stainless and a slp lid.Is that to much or an okay price?

Look inside the drivers door for code WS6 on the RPO options list. Having your local dealership or someone that works for a dealership run the VIN for you.
